A Midnight Introduction
Firstly, let me welcome you to Nocturnal Whispers. I [me, behind the keyboard, nice to meet you] created this space to express myself, my thoughts, ideas, dreams, art, poetry, and anything else I might be so inclined to post about at night. I will always post during the hours after sunset, because it’s always dark and in the PM somewhere on this little planet. This is purely a space for me, my mind, and the reality I like to exist in when not occupying the one we all happen to call home. I’m not at all conventional, though I’m sure I’ll prove quite entertaining.
I would like to give a quick introduction of the me I happen to be, providing anyone cares enough to read. I love many things, including a few people. I happen to love intelligence, the night, writing, reading [especially comics, and novels by Haruki Murakami, Michael Crichton, Chris Wooding, Ayn Rand, George Orwell, Aldous Huxley, and Mark Z. Danielewski to name a few], drawing, photography, art, the study of philosophy, psychology, psychedelic drugs, history, free thought, technology [the actual components and development, and the theory and evolution of:], traveling, nature, hiking, aesthetics, cute & pretty things, love, sex [beyond the physical aspects], vampires, electronic music [especially the genres known as trance and progressive], the beverage formerly known as tea, coffee, delicious candy, and the countries that excel at all or most of these things. I am a fan of Asian and European culture, as well as the beauty every country is bound to contain.
I generally don’t care for quite a few things, nor for some of the people who happen to do, own or support them. A few random and notable examples would be sneezing, clowns, bright lights, folk music, the month of July closely followed by August, casseroles, peas, stress, pain, senseless violence, politics, racism, ignorance and religion [which would end up making me an atheist]. The freedom to think and believe is an imperative concept I support, and religion falls under that. So by all means, practice, but please know I do indeed disagree. I’ll be writing about most, if not all of these things to some unknown degree and depth so please look forward to it. Should any questions or concerns be had about me and/or my views, I invite you to please posit a question or patiently wait until I’ve discussed the issue that interests you.
Comments will always be welcome, should they not be what some might call rude, and should you actually have anything to say. Because really, I’m not so sure how I might be interpreted, and quite frankly I don’t quite…care. I would like to say some things I write may not be suitable for those not old enough to watch legally watch an R-rated movie by themselves, though I can say with certainty I won’t be denying you admission into the theatre, and parental supervision is never required. I would ask anyone reading to please enjoy, laugh a little, and keep an open mind.
